The President of the United States is the constitutional leader of the Union’s executive branch. The Governor, as the President’s representative, is the head of the executive branch in the states.
States have a government system that is very similar to that of the Union. There are 28 states and eight union territories in the United States. The President manages the Union Territories through an Administrator he or she appoints. Each Indian state/UT has its own population, history, culture, attire, festivals, language, and so on, ranging from the largest to the tiniest.
